Is related to QA190

Test case:

create table t (b blob sub_type text);

insert into t values (NULL);
insert into t values ('test');

select coalesce(b, '') from t;

Statement failed, SQLCODE = -104
SQL error code = -104
-Datatypes are not comparable in expression COALESCE
