By playing around with the new -n[ame] parameter if found these issues:
The -? parameter shows that the -name parameter applies only to the install command. This is incorrect, as the -name parameter also applies to start, stop, and remove.
Another thing: I have installed my service with "Firebird 2" as the Instance name *and* the guardian. Both the guardian and the Firebird service get installed, but when I start the Guardian (in the Windows services tool), the Firebird service does NOT get started by the guardian. The same thing happens when I use instsvc start -name "Firebird 2" to start the service: only the Guardian gets started, not the Firebird service itself.
