Before start a restoring process I don't know the backup file is corrupt or not.
If this file is very huge and broken at 99% I will know only when the gbak crashed.
I'd suggest an optional checksum verifying before restore and a command line switch for verify backup file without restore.
For example: gbak xyz.fbk --verify-checksum.

Checksum verification before restore means that the backup file would be scanned twice. With e.g. 20GB backup, I'm not really sure this is a good idea.
