Can you add a command line Parameter to prevent setting up
startmenu group
and shortcuts to firebird.

/NOSTARTMENU

Basically i dont want to have a Firebird Group or the shotrtcust to release notes etc

Did you look at the installation_scripted.txt file in the doc dir?

This should do what you want:

/MERGETASKS="!MenuGroupTask"

I guess 'Wont fix' is the correct resolution for this report. I suggested that there is already a suitable command and there has been no subsequent feedback.
