Created: 07/Jul/09 08:37 AM   Updated: 18/Jan/16 06:02 PM
Component/s: GBAK, GFIX
Affects Version/s: None
Fix Version/s: 3.0 Alpha 1

QA Status: No test

 Description  « Hide
gbak says, for example:
        -BU(FFERS) override page buffers default
        -FIX_FSS_D(ATA) fix malformed UNICODE_FSS data
        -FIX_FSS_M(ETADATA) fix malformed UNICODE_FSS metadata
gbak:switches can be abbreviated to the unparenthesized characters

Someone changed this last message but gbak still accepts the first command that matches a single letter.

gfix says, for example:
-activate activate shadow file for database usage
        -attach shutdown new database attachments
qualifiers show the major option in parenthesis

Which pair of parentheses? Internally, it may accept any amount of characters, from 1 to the full length of the option's name.
