Duplicates CORE1346

Votes: 1

RPAD and LPAD returns VARCHAR(32765). It should return VARCHAR(1) in the example below.

select
rpad('1', 1, '1'),
rpad('1', 1, '1')
from
rdb$database

Undefined name.
Dynamic SQL Error.
SQL error code = -204.
Implementation limit exceeded.
block size exceeds implementation restriction.
