The embeeded engine raises a DEP (Data Execution
Prevention) under Windows XP and Service Pack 2.
1. Install embeeded engine
Firebird-1.5.1.4481_embed_win32.zip
2. Install Firebird OCBC Driver
Firebird_ODBC_1.2.0.69-Win32.exe
3. Start ODBC Administrator an create a new
FireBird DataSource
4. Test the connection repeatedly
Result: Windows kill's the ODBC Administrator
with a DEP.
Second way:
Connect and Disconnect to the embedded engine with
Delphi and dbExpress in the development environment.
Result: Delphi will be killed!
