1) I created a backup file with IBExpert and FB 2.5.1. Backup have more than 700 tables.
2) Uninstalled FB 2.5.1
3) Installed FB 3.0 Alpha 1, Super Server version. in Firebird.conf changed: DatabaseAccess = Full, ExternalFileAccess = Full, UdfAccess = Full. Restarted the service.
4) Opened IBExpert, and create a new 16K block size database and start restore.
5) When restore completes, the firebird.exe hits 25% of CPU (4 core) and hangs (infinete loope). Message in console:
"gbak:committing metadata"

Shutt down the service and restart it. Before that I checked the database and at firebird.log there as:

FABIANO Mon Nov 14 08:40:01 2011
Database: C:\TEMP\VSCI.FDB
Relation has 2 orphan backversions (0 in use) in table RDB$DATABASE (1)

FABIANO Mon Nov 14 08:40:07 2011
Database: C:\TEMP\VSCI.FDB
Page 13471 is an orphan

Attached the FBK.
Sorry my poor english.
Thanks.

6)I finallized firebird.exe and restarted the service. When I connect to the database restored it connects.
7)When I try to run a simply "select * from table" statement, the IBExpert closes itself.

Sorry my poor english. I will re-run the tests monday and put some additional infos. I can send the .FBK by e-mail/FTP if needed.
Thanks.
