Hi,

I have searched increasing defaultdbcachepages size more than 131072 but it is the limit I think. As you know, our machines and server building with more CPU and More RAM. It is 2 GB Memory is affecting the performance. If I able to use our servers RAM fully I think we have a better performance.

This issue or improvement similar with this CORE1687 issue.

Summary, I think Firebird must be use whole memory (or defined memory of available of servers RAM) May be firebird use this setting Automatically or Manuel (by the some new settings in firebird.conf file like AutoMemoryMan=1) 1 = Fully Automatic and Use All RAM; 0 = Don't Use. Use DefaultDbCachePages etc.)

:) Thank you for your cooperations.

I don't get why you have created a new ticket while CORE1687 is known to be already implemented. We now have the limit raised for 64-bit builds. As for 32-bit ones, their address space is limited by 2GB, so the extended limit doesn't make any practical sense (except for page sizes of 4KB and 8KB).
