After changing "Value" parameter of DbCrypt_example plugin an attempt to access previously encrypted database (i.e. access database with wrong decrypt key) makes engine to hang forever

Because a page decrypted with a wrong key is effectively just a pile of junk, accessing it can produce any kind of error. You'd better check decryption result (and consistency of the page at all) with some kind of checksum.
