After restoring the database with switch -use_ on creating shadow i receive error:
XXX Wed Oct 04 14:08:26 2017
I/O error during "ReadFile" operation for file "XXX"
Error while trying to read from file
Reached the end of the file.

Curious, why are you using shadow files?

{There are hardware and OS RAID solutions which would be better suitable for the purpose}

In one server we have two the hardware RAID-arrays (SSD and HDD).
On the SSD array we have 10 databases.
Only for two databases need the paranoid duplication to the second HDD array.
It's easiest way create shadow to solve task.

I fogot, when will be the "built-in logical (row-level) replication, both synchronous and asynchronous" I stop to use the shadow :)
