Like this (http://firebird.sourceforge.net/manual/migration-mssql-sql-syntax.html) article specifies Firebird does not support the case statement in a SQL SELECT. This makes complex reports even more complex. I think that stored procedures are not a good alternative for this.

As far as I know, support for the case statement was added in version 1.5.0. Shouldn't this be closed?
