Your programming interface provides an authentification mechanism.
Is it powerful enough to derive a class that will offer PAM services?

- http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/libs/pam/
- http://www.dementia.org/~shadow/pam.html

It seems that this standard can be integrated with JAAS.
See document "Making Login Services Independent of Authentication Technologies" (http://java.sun.com/security/jaas/doc/pam.html).

I have not heard about a "LoginModule" (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/security/jaas/JAASRefGuide.html#LoginModule) for it so far...
