I use Version 2.5.2 of the .NET Provider to connect to a Interbase Database (7.5 SP 1). In previous versions this worked well. I had to upgrade, because I need Entity Framework compatibility. But the latest version of the provider (2.5.2) crashes with an OutOfRangeException when I want to connect to the Database. The stacktrace points to FirebirdSql.Data.Client.Managed.Version10.GdsDatabase.GetServerVersion() as the source of the exception.
Will there be a fix?

No, there will be no fix, as it's not a bug. This is Firebird project, we have our Firebird engine (though it's comming from same base). Later the differences will be more obvious.
