The 2.5 Quick start guide points to various external resources, some of those are out of date:

Chapter 'Server configuration and management' > 'Windows Control Panel applets' > 'Firebird Control Center'

Latest version of this applications 0.4.2 which is compatible with Windows 7. According to the description on the website it is not compatible with Windows 9x / ME. I am wondering though if references to Windows 9x / ME over 12+ years after those products were released is not a bit too conservative.

Chapter 'Server configuration and management' > 'Administration tools'

Points to old location of IBPhoenix site, correct reference is 'Download > Tools > Administration' with URL http://www.ibphoenix.com/download/tools/admin

Chapter 'How to get help'

Link to order the Firebird Book is out of date, it is http://www.ibphoenix.com/products/books/firebird_book (although it looks like you can't order it right now as a new version is on the way)

Thanks! I've corrected/updated all the links and included a notice about the 1st edition of the book being out of print.
The changes will show up in the next version of the 2.0/2.1 and 2.5 Quick Start Guides.

About those WIndows versions: a decision about exactly which ones we still support is in the making.
