Use RDB$PROCEDURE_TYPE from Firebird 2.1 to automatically decide the procedure execution mode, whether SELECT or EXECUTE should be used.

Jaybird should distinguish between Firebird 2.1 and predecessors.

Implemented in HEAD, with checking of database engine and ODS versions
