Commented by: @mrotteveel For Jaybird 2.2 and 3.0 I have increased the casts used in metadata from 31 (or 40 in some predicates) to 63 (or 73). For Jaybird 3.1 this may need a little bit more investigation, as it looks like the identifier length is configurable, and we may need to take into account people using longer identifiers. |
Commented by: @mrotteveel As it turns out, the configuration allows people to use smaller identifiers than the current max, so we don't need to do anything extra. |

Relate to JDBC560
CORE749 increased object names to 63 characters, some parts of Jaybird currently explicitly use the existing 31 character limit (eg some casts in metadata queries).
Consider doing this for 2.2.x and 3.0 as well.
