Hi

I'm using Firebird 2.5.5. For a mail merge in WORD I wanted to setup an ODBC profile to a database view which provides all data needed in my mail merge. I first installed the ODBC driver and setup a system DSN with the Windows ODBC datasource administrator. That worked fairly well: At the end I tested the connection and the administror indicated it as successfully working. So I felt pretty confident being on the right way ;-)

I then switched over to WORD where I expected to see the this ODBC profile, but data source selector in mail merge shows neither the ODBC profile established prior to this nor the Firebird ODBC Driver I installed first. So that's where my story and my knowledge end.

Does anyone have a clue what I've overlooked? Thanks a lot.

I installed the 64Bit driver and tried to establish a connection profile by the 64 bit datasource administrator. I was not able to test it, it sais it has no access to the dll file. But from ACCESS or WORD I can see this profile not. I was not aware the I got a 64 bit Office installation ;-). I attatch a printscreen of the setup screen.

If you use 64-bit driver then client library (fbclient.dll) must be 64-bit too.
