Firebird driver for Python

Trouble with client SQL dialect

Created: 10/Aug/13 05:20 PM   Updated: 25/Jun/14 09:50 AM
Component/s: None
Affects Version/s: 1.4
Fix Version/s: None

Environment: fdb 1.4 (from pip), Firebird 2.5.2 (fresh install), Python 2.7.2, OS X 10.8.4

 Description  « Hide
I'm having trouble to create a table with BIGINT data type with fdb module. See that StackOverflow question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18156780/importing-a-large-sql-file-into-a-local-firebird-database

I've no idea why client SQL dialect is not being set here, shouldn't sql_dialect argument of fdn.create_database() work for that?

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

I've created databases using both dsn and sql parameters without specification of sql dialect, and it was created with dialect 3 as expected.
