In page http://www.firebirdtest.com/en/mailing-lists/ there are several links to atkins server, but the server seems to be down for months.

I suggest stopping using atkins, and replicate all the lists to newsgroups using http://gmane.org

Atkin server is dead forever. We have applied months ago for gmane accounts for all of the lists. To date, only two have been approved: firebird-general (gf-firebird-general) and firebird-support (gcdfu-firebird-support). There may be unofficial others that we don't know about.

Some years ago, I tried to register some of the Firebird lists in gmane, but it was refused. The rejection message was not clear, and I understood that it was rejected by gmane. It was very easy to contact gmane staff and ask why it was rejected. They kindly replied that it was actually rejected by the list owner, not by them, and that I should contact the list owner to check why he/she didn't accept subscribing gmane to the list.

I suggest the person who tried to register fb lists in gmane, to contact gmane staff and ask why the attempts have failed.

Helen,

I can't find gcdfu-firebird-support or gf-firebird-general landing pages.
Search through qmane gives links to some messages with [firebird-support] in the email subjects, but clicking on them produces "No such group error".
